| After a long time, I have finally found some time and designed a new layout for pages. There was a lot of changes in my life recently, so you will probably be surprised with this new look. There are some things left to finish up, but by the end of this week new pages will be up and running. February is coming to its end, which means my first 1.5km test is also very close. I have decided it will be a competition in Porec, on 7th of March. My target time still stands on 24:00. I have also done some running sessions and this weekend also one orienteering test run on a 2006. competition course. It was very easy and fast course, 6km in length, but I thought it will be the best measure of how much my speed has decreased over the last 4 months without training. I have won that competition back in 2006. so I hoped for some decent result. Well, result was a bit strange... I didn't feel all that exhausted or tired while running, because I was mostly concentrated on my knee, not sure will I feel some pain or not. Knee was, at the end, OK even on downhills. My result was 2' slower than my winning time in 2006, but what was strange was the fact that I have lost 1'45'' on the last two legs compared to 2006. splits. I can't remember which route choice did I take on second to last leg, but it is possible this time I took the slower one. As for the last one, it was only downhill running so 45'' was gone due to my overcareful running. (sparing my knee as much as I can). When I put the result aside, it was really nice feeling to run and orienteer in the forest again and I reminded myself, once more, why and how much I love this sport... |
